FMOCCIVIC  Forge Oil Cooler Kit for Honda Civic FK2

The Forge Motorsport oil cooler kit for the Honda Civic Type R FK2 2015-on uses a genuine Setrab oil cooler with the dimensions 490(w) x 124(h) x40mm(d). Although there are lots of oil coolers on the market, this oil cooler lent itself perfectly to the Civic’s front grill area, and comes from a very respected manufacturer.

Sitting in full air flow and mounted correctly with the oil flowing into the top of the oil cooler and exiting though the lower outlet, this avoids any chance of cavitation occurring within the oil cooler. Many people mount their oil coolers incorrectly which in turn stops them from working as well as they could.

Forge Motorsport have designed a remote thermostat that is included in the kit, made from billet aluminium and anodised black for anti corrosion purposes, complete with anodised AN-8 Fittings and a CNC machined sandwich plate for the oil filter. The clearance around the sump and position of the oil filter is very limited for space on the Type R and hence a regular sandwich plate with built in thermostat could not be used for this application.

Thermostats are a must in oil cooler kits and without them the kit won’t be as efficient, the idea behind the thermostat is quicker engine warming up times which is essential in colder climates. At 80 degrees C, the thermostat opens and allows oil to flow freely through the core.

The kit also includes all of the brackets and fixings necessary to mount this kit securely along with all aluminium AN (Dash) fittings - NO cheap hose clamps here, full installation instructions and stainless steel braided oil hoses, with black nylon overbraid.  The oil lines and cooler are used by race teams worldwide and quality is simply second to none, and of course covered by our original purchasers lifetime guarantee.
